Bishop Fenwick Society |
The Bishop Fenwick Society, comprised of benefactors dedicated to keeping the legacy of Cincinnati's first bishop alive, recognizes the increased importance of investing in the future Church by supporting the education of tomorrow's priests, deacons, and lay ministers, financially and spiritually. You have an opportunity to sustain this historic trust by joining the Bishop Fenwick Society. Membership is extended to those who make an unrestricted annual contribution of $1,000 or more.
Membership Levels:
Cornerstone Circle $25,000 & above
Founder's Circle $10,000 - 24,999
Chancellor's Circle $5,000 - $9,999
President's Circle $2,500 - $4,999
Fenwick Society $1,000 - $2,499
Generations Circle* $500 and above (under age 50)
Generations Circle (w/BFS sponsor) $250
Members of the Bishop Fenwick Society are encouraged to participate in activities at the Athenaeum.
Members are:
- invited to the Bishop Fenwick Society Archbishop's Dinner hosted by Archbishop Schnurr
- extended lending privileges at the Maly Memorial Library
- invited to be honored guests with reserved seating at the Athenaeum's Advent Lessons and Carols Service including a pre-performance reception and other key Athenaeum special events.
Members are also listed in the President's Report/honor roll annually in The Athenaeum Magazine, Fall edition.

The Generations Circle
The Generations Circle - an arm of the Bishop Fenwick Society -- has been created for benefactors of the Athenaeum who are under 50 years old.
Its purpose is to:
- increase membership in the Bishop Fenwick Society.
- increase financial resources for Athenaeum operating expenses in fulfilling the society's mission.
- assure the future vitality of the Bishop Fenwick Society by increasing the number of young members to carry on its mission.

Parish Bishop Fenwick Society Membership
Parishes within the archdiocese have joined as Parish Bishop Fenwick Society members as a way to express their strong belief and testimonial to the mission of the Athenaeum/Seminary.
It provides a tangible way for the parish to demonstrate its appreciation for the priests, deacons, and lay ministers who have provided dedicated service to their parish and as an investment in the future needs and demands of their parish.

Matching Gifts
Maximize the impact of your gift to The Athenaeum of Ohio/Mount St. Mary's Seminary with a matching gift. Many companies sponsor programs enabling their employees and retirees to double or triple their personal contributions to higher education. The process is not complicated. Contact your human resources department for a matching gift form, fill it out, and forward it to the Athenaeum. Some companies use electronic filling which eliminates the need for a matching gift form. Inquire where you work about matching gift opportunities.
