Bishop Fenwick Society The Bishop Fenwick Society, comprised of benefactors dedicated to keeping the legacy of Cincinnati's first bishop alive, recognizes the increased importance of investing in the future Church by supporting the education of tomorrow's priests, deacons, and lay ministers, financially and spiritually. You have an opportunity to sustain this historic trust by joining the Bishop Fenwick Society. Membership is extended to those who make an unrestricted annual contribution of $1,000 or more.
Membership Levels: Cornerstone Circle $25,000 & above Founder's Circle $10,000 - 24,999 Chancellor's Circle $5,000 - $9,999 President's Circle $2,500 - $4,999 Fenwick Society $1,000 - $2,499 Generations Circle* $500 and above (under age 50) ▫ Generations Circle (w/BFS sponsor) $250 Members of the Bishop Fenwick Society are encouraged to participate in activities at the Athenaeum. Members are: · invited to the Annual Recognition Dinner hosted by Archbishop Schnurr · extended lending privileges at the Maly Memorial Library · invited to be honored guests with reserved seating at the Athenaeum's Chorale's Advent Carol Service and Spring Concert Members are also listed in the annual President's Report and presented a framed membership certificate.
*The Generations Circle The Generations Circle – an arm of the Bishop Fenwick Society -- has been created for benefactors of the Athenaeum who are under 50 years old. Its purpose is to: ▫ increase membership in the Bishop Fenwick Society. ▫ increase financial resources for Athenaeum operating expenses in fulfilling the society’s mission. ▫ assure the future vitality of the Bishop Fenwick Society by increasing the number of young members to carry on its mission. The Generations Circle includes three committees: Community Service – coordinating a “point of entry” event for prospective new members and possible other events or programs dependent on the growth of the Generations Circle. Fund Raising – promoting and organizing profit-making activities to benefit the Athenaeum through voluntary service and support of events and programs initiated by the community outreach committee of the Athenaeum Advisory Council. Shadowing – providing a network of opportunities for new members of the Generations Circle by providing programs connecting the new members with existing members of the Bishop Fenwick Society to help newcomers learn more about success in life and how faith plays a critical role in that success.
