The Athenaeum Chorale
Directed by music director Anthony DiCello, the Athenaeum Chorale is the resident mixed choir of the Athenaeum of Ohio. Sponsored by Mount St. Mary's Seminary, members include students, faculty, alumni as well as persons, professional and semi-professional, from the greater metropolitan area of Cincinnati. Beginning its 27th season, the Athenaeum Chorale sings for various liturgical events, special occasions and concerts in the seminary's beautiful Italian Romanesque Chapel of St. Gregory the Great. Chorale membership is open to all by audition. The Athenaeum of Ohio Chorale Performance Schedule Sunday Vespers, celebrated monthly and open to the public, is one of the main services of the Roman Catholic Church's Liturgy of the Hours, consisting of sung psalms, hymns and canticles and includes choral anthems and a homily. Each service is preceded by a prelude of instrumental music. |
